diy Place cards

Danielle, on March 13, 2020 at 12:19 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5
Hello everyone! I am thinking of doing place cards but I don’t know if it would be better and cheaper to DIY them or purchase them from somewhere, say Michael’s. I’d love to hear what you did for your place cards. I was considering making a template on Canva and then printing them out at Staples. But I don’t know what type of paper to use and do I need to bring my own paper? What paper did you guys use for printing them out? Did you do it at home? Thank you!

I got blank cards from Michaels, $5 for 50 cards (I got 2 packs though). Wrote them myself. Honestly it was not hard at all, I thought it would take way longer, it only took about a half hour and we had 100 guests. As long as you have semi-decent handwriting I’d say just do it yourself! Most people won’t give the pomace card a second thought and it’s really not hard to do it on your own /)

I bought Avery placecards and plan to print at home, maybe bring to Staples. We will see.

I ordered a template on Etsy, which worked with the Avery place cards and then printed them at home. All in all, I probably spent less than $20.

How does Avery work? Is it a site to upload templates to print out?

I’ll be using Avery. They have one that has gold around outside and can be printed on both sides. I went to Office Depot and looked what they had but a better selection on line.
