DIYing your centerpieces could be pretty easy, depending on what you have in mind. You can DIY signs with stencils from Etsy, vinyl, or some chalkboard paint and chalk markers. You can DIY your florals, but that's getting into dangerous territory.

I think I'm going to DIY my shoes. Our ceremony will be outside (on grass) so I'll need to wear stacked heels or wedges and they don't tend to be super decorative. I plan on buying an inexpensive, comfortable pair and gluing on some lace accents to add a delicate, romantic touch. If you prefer bling or have a dress with beading or crystals, you could add rhinestones instead. I've seen wedding shoes fancied up with items as simple as ribbon or extra tulle or chiffon fabric, sequins, glitter, paint, feathers, silk or ribbon flowers, pearls, beads, etc. The materials and experience needed to DIY shoes are pretty inexpensive and minimal.

If adding permanent alterations to your shoes is too intimidating look for shoe clips (like a brooch for your shoe). You can find beautiful, inexpensive ones on Etsy and literally just clip them on to basic sandals or pumps to give them a fancier touch.

Other areas where I might DIY include the place setting cards, table numbers, and our photo display area (I want to have a bunch of couple photos as well as photos of our parents at their weddings). I also think my mom is going to do our floral arrangements for tables (not bouquets or boutonnieres) because we have the option of buying bulk flowers and doing it ourselves and my mom is naturally really good at arranging cut blooms.

DIY seems to be the way to go lately. Centerpieces, bouquets, signs and even wedding invitations are unique. If you haven’t already, Pinterest always have good ideas. You can also YouTube for DIY instructions. YouTube helped me pass statistics lol.

No, those wouldn't be too difficult. Hula hoops, fabric, and some faux florals. I would sign up for email alerts from Hobby Lobby and Michael's. You still have plenty of time, so buy things when they go on sale. Definitely take advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

I’m hand making my invitations and STDS and baking my own cupcakes. Also doing my own centerpieces and some signs. My FH is building our arch and benches for seating

You could go to home depot and ask for their help of all the things you need and google some how-to videos. Signs will be probubly the most simple or you can do some yard games or bouquets, etc!

Neither my fiance nor I wanted to have a hassle with lots of complicated decorations for our wedding reception. So we decided to get a stock of jars, and put electric tealights in them and wrap a fake rose around the edge of the jar. In total, that was about $63. A friend of mine (who got married last year) has lace doilies for us to borrow and put on the tables. She also has tulle bows for the church pews. (so those won't cost us anything.)

I'm also thinking of weaving together a heart with the left-over roses for the bridal table.
