I've never actually seen formal invited for engagement parties. Typically, they're more laid back and just evite or word of mouth. For wedding invites, you can check out sites like Ann's Bridal Bargain, Zazzle, Shutterfly, VistaPrint, or Minted. In terms of DIY, usually people use a cricut or something to make DIY invitations. You can also check out Canva and then print them at your local Staples or something.
