diy Invitations

Gillian, on July 1, 2022 at 12:09 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 11
Just wanted to share my wedding invitations that I created from scratch with adobe illustrations. These are the digital files, but I had a lot of fun picking out the linen paper and hue. Has anyone else made their stationary from scratch?diy Invitations 1

I paid for ours and in the end wish I hadn't - I made the guest info sheet in Canva and to be honest it would have been very easy to make the invites and either print them out on nice card or take them to a local print shop.

Would have been much cheaper and, of course, I preferred the sheets I did to the invitations we actually paid for! Although the invites are still nice, I got them on Etsy and we've had plenty of compliments so they can't be that bad... !

Especially because I can tell that the ones from Etsy are just printed by some bod in their house like - I respect the hustle but I could have done that myself lmao. No judgement towards the Etsy seller, just annoyed with myself for not realising I could have done them

Yours look great! I also like Bridget went with Etsy for the invitations. However, I’ve gotten so Canva savvy that everything else was done on there. I did the weekend itinerary, our guestbook and the welcome sign. I am also printing our place cards at home as well. So much easier and I’m saving a ton of money.

I know exactly what you mean! I was going back and forth on whether or not to just spend the extra money for someone else to do it. It took me a bit longer, but I’m glad I didn’t go with an online version. Your invitations look amazing! Love the theme and the fonts.

Ooh! Canva sounds great! I’ve never used it before. What’s the best way to do a welcome sign? I still have to check that off my list.

Definitely use Canva! They have different templates you can choose from. Or even if you wanted to start fresh and do you own you can. I mocked another welcome sign I saw on Zazzle. It’s the same exact thing, but way cheaper. You can do the canvas option for $68 for the medium or you can try Office Depot and have it printed on a foam board for $45. diy Invitations 5

    Those are lovely!

Yes, we created all our stationery from scratch. Here are our orders of service - loved the craft paper with flower petals.
