DIY Hydrangea Centerpieces??

Jaimie, on March 17, 2014 at 11:28 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

Hi guys! I am making my own hydrangea centerpieces and bouquets and I am unsure of how many stems I should be estimating for this! The blooms I am ordering are from BJ's and they have a 7" diameter. I am wanting my centerpieces to look like the picture I included. I have 14" vases to put them in. Approximately how many blooms do you all think I will need for these? Thanks!

I would go with 4 or 5. I use them for my table all the time.

I second that. I will also be using hydrangeas and plan to have 5 for each, but if I only need 4 I'll just use the extra flowers elsewhere.

Hydrangeas are notoriously hard to keep, so order extras just in case.

I did a bouquet not to long ago for a wedding and it was 6 stems. I think around 5 would be good for the size. But always prepare to purchase more than you "estimate" needing because not all blooms will be the size you invision. Also Hydrangeas stems are not all straight...some will come with a bend or bow...so that effects your arrangement as well.

Crap wrong picture (that one was just holding the flowers in water). Lets try again. This one.
