diy Guest Welcome Bags

Ashlee, on June 24, 2019 at 1:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 14
We are having a destination wedding in Hawaii and I want to DIY some welcome gifts for our guests to greet them in their hotel rooms upon arrival. I was thinking of putting sunblock, luggage tags, bottled waters, a turkish towel, and local sweet and savory snacks inside a nice beach bag. What other things should I add? I’d love to hear your ideas!

I love it! I'd include two water bottles, I always think that's nice since most hotels charge for their water bottles. Maybe a welcome pamphlet with some local things to do in the area?

I think that sounds awesome. Maybe add flip-flops and/or cute sunglasses?

Sounds great! I did many of the same things in mine. I had some candy and two breakfast bars and Tylenol. Good luck

This is so cute! I’ll be careful with the sunblock. I read a few articles that is one of those things people don’t just use any. Same with shampoo, conditioning. Most people have their prefer brand. However I think is very accurate for Hawaii and at least the young ones would get use of it.
Mine had little tequila bottles, tabasco and tajin because it was a wedding in Mexico. I had personalize thank you mints, hand sanitizers, antibacterial wipes, wedding tissues, itinerary, map of hotel, what to do while in Mexico flyer, personalize door hanger and hangover kit. The ones I heard were the favorites was the kit and tequila. The kit I added Tylenol and Advil since not everyone takes the same, emergency c, tums, alka-seltzer and bandaids. People used this like crazy! I skipped water and food because we stayed at an all inclusive hotel.

Ah, tylenol would be a great addition that I didn’t think of. Also love the breakfast bars idea—no hangry guests. 😂Thank you!

Make sure you get specific sunblock for Hawaii though, they only allow certain sunblocks that don't damage their reefs. I wish ours allowed alcohol, our venue doesn't. I wanted to do mini champagne bottles. Yours sound SO cute!

Wow! You really pampered your guests, that is awesome. Such wonderful ideas that I didn’t think of. Tysm for sharing; I absolutely love the mini liquor bottles, hand sanitizer, and breath mints ideas. I was thinking Hawaiin tropic sunblock to be on theme, but you’re right about people being particular with toiletries.

Oh my, I had no idea! Tysm for pointing that out. I will do some research on what’s acceptable. I love the mini champagne idea as well. Thanks!
