diy flowers

Futuremrsconroy, on June 11, 2019 at 5:37 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 22
I may swap the orange flower to something else on the bridesmaids hoop bouquets, and I need to rework my swag and glue everything still. I am in love with my bridal bouquet! Just need to wrap the stems in ribbon. What is everyone else doing for flowers or DIY?

Wow I'm very impressed!! I'm definitely not crafty enough to DYI. I don't even know what I want in order to tell my florist. I hope she just takes my theme and budget to come up with something herself lol

LOL, I was thinking, wow that's enough recycling to cover a vendor payment maybe!! hahahaha I only find it funny because I have a similar pile going in my garage. Smiley smile

Thanks haha! This is my first time doing flowers. I’m pretty crafty in general though! If I were you I would google what is in season around the time of your wedding and pick what you like to tell your florist. It’ll save you money on fresh flowers.

Lol I suspected as much, since it's very much like my pile!

btw, I love your flowers. I'm planning to DIY mine also, but my wedding isn't until May 2020, so I still have lots of time. Your bouquet seems to have so many different things. Did you get everything at once, or did you just start buying bits and pieces of things you liked? I don't have a concrete vision yet of what my bouquet will look like. I just see stuff on Pinterest and go "ooohhh, that's pretty."

Those are gorgeous! Where did you get the flowers, if you don’t mind me asking?

Thank you! I bought them at Michaels. They honor Joann Fabrics coupons so I saved 20%. I spent $72, the bouquet was roughly $50 of what I bought.

Flowers for the swag and hoops are from Joann’s from a different flower buying trip.

Wow! These are great, I really like the centerpieces. I am doing DIY centerpieces but not the flower portion of it. I am definitely not as skilled as you haha.

Thank you! You’ll be amazed what you can do, I bet your centerpieces will be beautiful! I still need to do my old wood window seating charts. Planning on putting swag on those too.

I am doing something like this too! I wanna do the window panes with the decals for the seating arrangements. I worked at a hardware store for a couple years in the paint department and now I know how to sand and stain them so I will be working on those this fall while it's not too hot out.

Are you buying decals? I was planning on just writing names with a chalk marker.

I found decals on Etsy that weren’t super expensive. I have nice hand writing but it’s super inconsistent and I have major OCD lol

Do you happen to have the name of the Etsy shop? This could save me some time!! Do they write all the names of the guests and table numbers?
