diy Flowers.

Hi everyone. So ive been getting quotes on flowers and some of them are cray cray. Somebody quoted me 100 per centerpiece and 150 for my bouqet and 75 for bridesmaids. I can't fathom spending 500 dollars on FLOWERS. Silk flowers are almost the same price and I don't really like plastic. I just need bouqets and centerpieces. I've been looking at Sam's Club or other grocery stores at ordering them wholesale and making them. Has anyone actually done their flowers or planning on doing them?

Yeah fresh flowers are crazy expensive. Unfortunately those quotes are pretty common. I’m using all my flowers for decor and my own bouquet. Not having bridesmaids and groomsmen stand up with us so we are saving on all those flowers. We got quoted $2000 total for all our decor flowers and greenery

I looked at sams club as well but my issue was more of having time to make it and for them to still look nice the day of if that makes sense

I am making my own floral backdrop for the ceremony from silk flowers which are super realistic which also means more expensive. However if you look for the right time, you can find them on sale at Michaels and Joann Fabrics. I got at least 40% off on all the flowers so you can definitely save. I'm getting fresh flowers for bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces but having them done as my fiance didn't want me stressing last minute making my own arrangements. However that price is pretty accurate when it comes to flowers.

    This is for 25 centerpieces
9 bridesmaids bouquets, brides flowers, 14 boutonnières, moms + grandmas, garlands....SERIOUSLY don’t waste your money on real flowers I have no idea how not many people know about them Amazing customer service, free return shipping, arrives 3 days before, free toss bouquet Here is a pic from my future sister in laws wedding (she used the Olivia collection) diy Flowers. 1

My florist quoted me 1700 for 15 centerpieces, head table, arbor, 5 BM, 5 GM, 3 Dad/Grandpa, 4 Mom/Grandmas, cake flowers, decorative tables - remembrance, welcome, guest book and seating tables. And some other hand placements. I was quoted over between **** for this from most other florists - but this was a old family owned business. I would keep getting a few more quotes and ask around if you know anyone recently wed. My DIY price for all of the same material ( lesser sub-ed flowers) were 2500 as well from a mix of Sam's Club and fiftyflowers

If you want fresh flowers, I'd definitely check out Costco wedding flowers. They have some affordable options. We're planning to use a florist for bouquets, boutonnieres, etc but getting the greenery garland from Costco to cut down on our floral cost.

Yeah those quotes are normal and even on the low side of normal. I’d look into grocery store flowers or fake flowers if you don’t mind the look.

To be honest, depending on the style you are wanting, diy isn't that much more cheaper. We spent just under $1k on flowers that we DIY but that included vases as well we have 8 tall centerpieces and 2 short ones for the sweetheart table. diy Flowers. 2

My mom and I have created AMAZING pieces using mainly just wood flowers but also a few dried flowers and greens, bamboo, and just a few fake flowers (that I plan on donating to other brides so they don't end up in landfills)! Luckily our wedding is outside with landscaping so we'll be surrounded by lots of live beautiful flowers. I got some fake flowers for our wedding arbor that my dad is building that we will keep forever. If you buy direct from sola wood flowers, and DIY hot glue them to wire stems and make your own arrangements it's FUN and so so affordable (we have made my bouquet, 6 boutonnieres, a floral tiara for me, 3 other major hair clip in pieces, as well as 8 centerpieces (four very large and four smaller)) and in total we spent less than $200 !!!

I plan on ordering from Sams Club and doing mine own. I’m doing 20 centerpieces, my bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, about 10 boutonnieres, and 6 corsages. My friend ordered from them for her wedding , had them delivered Thursday for a Saturday weeding. They were beautiful, perfectly blossomed and cheap. I priced mine out to be $750 when a florist quoted me $3500. So the extra work is worth it. My plan is to take Thursday off work just to do flowers all day. It took my friend 4-5 hours to do 15 centerpieces, 3 bouquets, and 6 boutonnières. So, it will take time.

Mom and I got the silk blue roses. Also on amazon got ones that are like foam or something and even the bakery the man suggested it since it was affordable can even be used in the cake. Since they are silk they won’t die. Real roses are beautiful but they die very fast. So we got flowers Michaels, hobby lobby, and AC Moore before they went out of business. They all look realistic and nice. Saving a lot of money way under $500 that’s for all the tables and my bouquet and my maid of honor’s.
