diy floral

I made this with mostly dollar store flowers. My mom asked me if I'm going to be upgrading the flowers down the road so now I'm second guessing it 😅 I thought it looked good. Do you think it came out ok? The bridesmaids bouquets won't have the wisteria cascade (which those actually cane from Walmart). I know at the end of the day as long as I like it that's all that matters, but I'm curious what others think or what you've done if you do DIY flowers

It looks very nice. I like the textures of the lilies together with the wisteria and the blue is a good pop of color. If anything, you might want to add some additional pieces of greenery around the lilies (personally I would use more broadleaf greenery like what is peaking through, not eucalyptus).

My experience with DIY was very different than yours since my best friend was working for a florist at the time of my wedding. Sorry, I am no help there. 😅 I have seen some other brides (here on WW and on r/Weddingunder10k on Reddit) post artificial flower bouquets. Sola wood flowers and silk flowers seem to be the most common choices but I have also seen dollar store flowers used with great success.

I would add more color to at least the bridesmaids ones. The white just kind of flows into more white for me. I know some brides want all white flowers are mostly white flowers so I do understand that for the bride but even if it’s more greenery I think there should be more color. The set up of the flowers itself though is very pretty.

Hi your bouquet looks very nice you did a good job and ppl do know that using fake flowers is a money saver. But some ppl couldn't even imagine on having fake flowers bit I is it as spending so much money on flowers that will be discarded the that night or the next day. But dont get money I would to have fresh flowers but I have some guess that are allergic to real flowers. But they are very expensive and would not want to waste beautiful flowers that way. I would love to have them. Now I have some fake flowers they are the slik flowers and would be used. For our centerpieces for the table and then my bridesmaids and groomsmen and groom will have them on there lapel will be using the flowers incorporate. I had my bride bouquet made with crystal brooches. And I do have a second bouquet toss later but that is only up to you if you want to get real flowers but the fake ones is just as good

She saw it in person and changed her mind. But I get your point too lol. Some silks look a lot more realistic, but they definately come at a cost. I have some time to think about it and add stuff to dress it up. But I'm kind of stuck with these now regardless so I'd have to spend quite a bit more to replace them entirely. I might follow some suggestions someone else made about adding some more higher quality greenery on the outside

I think it looks nice, you did a great job!! You said it best if you like it, that's all that matters. A little more greenery or feathers may add more to the look, but I think it looks really nice.

Yes. I think the greenery will set it off perfectly! You may want to consider a new side hustle, too, and begin selling your creations to other bridesmaid.

    Hey girl!

I love DIY projects and you're right, as long as you love them and they make you happy, go for it! In my opinion, I would recommend using real flowers. It's your wedding day and you deserve it. Here's a great tip for affordable real flowers: COSTCO! You clearly have the skills to make a bouquet. Try it out with Costco floral. I would love to see if you do try it!

    Best,

    Steph
