diy centerpieces

Shannon, on August 5, 2019 at 11:05 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10
My wedding is sept 1 afternoon outdoors at a park. We cannot have glass. Any ideas for centerpieces? I only need. I’m not really crafty but I have friends and family who are.

Small metal/galvanized pails, small flower (wood) boxes, or maybe acrylic boxes to create a centerpiece

I've seen a lot of people recently using lanterns with no sides - i.e. no glass. You could put flowers/greenery in them, and they look super cute.

Detail of tissue paper flowers.diy centerpieces 2Flowers on high top tables. (We also had lower tables people could sit at)diy centerpieces 3

My mother made tissue paper flowers which we put in flower baskets we'd found on sale for $1/ each. I found some lace curtains at a thrift store that I cut into 17" squares. We spray painted the baskets white so they better matched the lace. If you are outside, put rocks in the baskets so they don't blow away.

We DIYed our centerpieces with vintage books, sterling silver teapots/sugar pots/milk pitchers with succulents in them, china tea cups or teapots with succulents in them.

Hi Shannon! What are your wedding colors? If you both love music, maybe you could have something like this, just add your own twist/color to it.

Not sure what your theme is, but you could always do lanterns, ones without glass! This one is a tutorial for a dollar tree wood lantern. It didn't look TOO complicated, just time consuming like most DIY. Then just add some greenery garlands like above Smiley smile
