diy Broach Bouquet

DuttonSandersWedding, on May 27, 2019 at 8:13 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 14
I had a little DIY party this weekend for my bridesmaids and I to make our broach bouquets. I wanted all my girls to make their own so they would all be unique, everyone would feel included and then I wouldn't have to make 5 all by myself. It was a blast. And they turned out sooo good! What do you guys think?

Thank you! I've already had a few people tell me I should make more and sell them.

Yes, you could have a nice little shop on Etsy if you wanted!

How did you do the broach? I am not sure if I want to make a wrist corsage or pin broach for my mom to wear.

Those look awesome! We’re having brooches incorporated into every bouquet and each girls will be different. I hired someone to
do it as I am already so overwhelmed. I am excited to see what she does!

So I actually bought most of the broaches wholesale on etsy and found some of the more vintage pieces at yard sales and flea markets.
To make the guys boutineers I bought fake a calla lily, fabric flower and pearl and rhinestones that were set on wire from hobby lobby and a piece of felt. I put the flowers, pearls and rhinestones together in a way I liked and twished the wire ends around the flower stem so they would stay how i wanted before hot glueing it all to the felt piece. I then placed the broach where i liked and hot glued that down. Last I wrapped the stems in a pretty ribbon to finish it off before trimming the felt pad away so it couldn't be seen from the front. And I hot glued pin back to they could be attached easier than with a typical floral pin.
