diy bouquets

Hi ladies! I will be doing DIY bouquets and I’d LOVE to see some real inspiration, not Pinterest. I don’t care if you did real or fake bouquets, but if you don’t mind, I’d really love to see them and any advice you have.
I’d like to know how long it took, if it was difficult, and if you don’t mind the average cost?

I got all of my flowers from Amazon. I made 6 bouquets and spent about 100-120 on all of them.

I DIY-ed with real flowers. Im not sure how much to say the bouquets costs exactly as I ordered ALL my flowers for FiftyFlowers.com. I spent about $300, but that was for everything including centerpieces and ceremony decor and boutineers in addition to the bouquets (worth noting I over-ordered and had lots of leftover flowers, partially due to not knowing exactly what I’d need and partially due to the orders being bulk). For that same reason, the other questions are tough to fully answer— much of the time spent on flowers was dealing with the whole order (trimming stems) and assembling centerpieces, but I think it’s safe to say the bouquets took the better part of an afternoon to get “just right” but lots of adjusting and second guessing. A little time investment the day before for stem trimming and watering and giving the flowers a chance to “wake up” after shipping. I’d done a practice round at home before the wedding to get comfortable with handling the flowers and assessing if it was feasible, and I was happy with how my practice came out. I used a ton of floral tape and hid it with ribbon.

things I recommend if using real flowers:
    - have help (I needed a second pair of hands a few times, especially for ribbon-wrapping the stems)
    - have good sharp scissors/shears or clippers. Mine probably caused me a little extra work bc they were just the old scissors that I had so, not super sharp and a little slower going
    - have a mirror handy. I was in a basement room to keep my flowers out of direct sun, and there were no mirrors near by, so I couldn’t get a good idea of how they’d look being held as I was going — retrospectively, is probably have made them a little smaller.
    - take a Zyrtec 🤣 or allergy med of choice. The pollen started getting to me!

overall was happy with the experience though, and enjoyed my flowers quite a bit. Also including a centerpieces-in-the-making pic. Used a couple different bottles /flowers and had an assembly line going .

This is my bouquet I made, it actually ending up being easier to make than I thought it would haha I probably spent around $40 I think on it. I got some of the flowers while Michaels was having a sale and the rest I got at ac Moore and amazon!

These are the ones my mom is making out of coffee filters and dye. Barely costs anything but it's a little time consuming.

Not the best picture bc i feel weird sharing my formal bridal pics but my mom and I made this bouquet for my bridal pics!! My aunt is professionally doing the flowers for my wedding day and couldn’t travel for the pics so I opted to make these from central market instead! It was a bit tricky since I’m not artistic at all but I think they turned out well Smiley smile

This is my bouquet! I got everything on sale from Afloral.com. I got everything for about $100 and had leftovers for some signs.

I’ve been following this post because I’m trying to decide weather or not to diy flowers or hire someone and I like the idea of diy real flowers but how soon did you get them so they didn’t look dead for the wedding. Sorry if this is a dumb question I’m new to all this 😅
