I've decided to DIY all of my floral arrangements and would like some input on which assortment of flowers to use. I'm doing Delphinium Bouquets like the ones you see in the first picture. Our colors are navy blue, light blue and lavender/lilac. The girls are wearing lilac colored dresses and the guys are wearing navy tuxes.
I'm trying to decide if I should do the bouquets with blue only (pictured below)(the lighter blue has accents of lilac on the petals)diy Bouquets 3
Or should I add in lilac colored blooms as well?
I'm not sure how they would look with the purple stock (pictured in the second collage it's the purple flower in the middle) but I'd prefer those of they'd look good because it would save me $55. I was thinking if I do go with the purple stock, since they're shaped differently with their blooms not going most of the way down the stem like the delphinium, maybe I could put them towards the middle of the bouquets so they'd be kind of poking up through. diy Bouquets 4

What's everyone think? Is All blue with the very subtle hints of lilac in some petals good since the girls are wearing the lilac dresses or do we need lilac colored flowers in there as well?

Are you saying to maybe just use the bunch that has the multi shades of blue with out the dark blue mixed in?

Thank you! I think I've landed on using those with lilac or navy ribbon tied around the stems. I can get fabric by the yard to match their dresses so I think thatll look really pretty if I use the lilac.

Me too! It’s the most natural look and so pretty. The lilac ones are beautiful too if that works better with your color scheme.

Thank you ladies so much! I'm going to go with the gradient blues and use either navy blue or lilac ribbon to tie around them ❤

I would mix in a couple lilacs into the gradient with a green, lavender, or white bow.

Thank you so much. I kept searching because I wasnt quite satisfied and came up with the idea to use lavendar sweet peas with the blue gradient. I love the idea of adding a bow. That will look pretty!diy Bouquets 6
