diy bouquets!! - picture heavy

Brittany, on August 10, 2020 at 8:20 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 28
Last week I had wonderful help from my FH, my MOH, one of my BM, and FH best man. We made almost all of our boutonnieres and all of our bouquets. We also made our mothers corsages too! Each one has their favorite color bracelet with the flowers on top so they can just take them off and use the bracelet later!! I am putting there favorite colored flower in each of the BM bouquets. We painted white little pumpkins and put them on the bottom so the wire stems don't hurt the BMs. They are not all the way finished, we still need to put ribbon around the stems. I love love love how they turned out!! Everything is coming together!! Let's see what you did for your bouquets!! Did you make them or have them done for you?? Did you use fake flowers or real ones?? Did you use silk or foam or some other material?? What resources did you use if you made it yourself??

Nice work!! These turned out well! How long did these take to make? I had looked into wood flowers for my bouquet, but it didn't go well the first time (and I didn't know what I wanted for my bouquet), so I set them aside. Now that we postponed to 2022, I have time to figure out more specific details and maybe look at the wood flowers again.

Lisa, it took about two days! I really didn't know what I was wanting until we jumped in. Once we put things kind of together it cleared my vision on exactly what I wanted!! Thank you!!
Wood flowers would be so beautiful!! I think just experimenting with it and seeing what combinations you were kind of thinking of might help!! I would love to see pictures if you have any!! What are the colors do you know??

Two days isn't too bad! I agree, it always helps to be able to put things together and test out different combinations to help figure out what works best. Glad that you were able to match your vision on your bouquet!

I don't have any pictures of the bouquets yet, this picture is the closest I got until I gave up. Our colors are cerulean blue, sparkly silver, and white, so initially I was thinking blue/white flowers, but now I'm leaning more towards an all-white bouquet for me, and white and pink flowers for my bridesmaids bouquets. diy bouquets!! - picture heavy 10

Good job! I love that the corsages are bracelets that the mothers can keep wearing after the wedding!
I really wanted fresh flowers for my bouquet having worked in a flower shop when I was right out of high school. Since we’re traveling 2.5 hours the day before the wedding and staying in a Airbnb though, I didn’t want to have to haul or worry about flowers, so I have a local florist making a bouquet and boutonnière. We planned to skip corsages and additional boutonnières for budget, but a bracelet for my mother is a great idea. She’s been my secondary support system through this planning process, and primary support system lately with FH’s work schedule getting crazy!

It was defiantly a process that's for sure LOL

These are really pretty flowers!! An all-white bouquet and white and pink for the ladies would look really nice!! Did you want the splash of blue or silver or no??

We have an all inclusive package with our venue & have a $400 allowance for flowers. I have a small bridal party (3 bride tribe & 3 groomsmen). I have a vision of how I want the flowers on the gazebo & maybe some on the cake. I’m thinking of making a bouquet for the flower toss & I want it to somewhat look like my bouquet. How my bouquet is gonna look? Haven’t a clue! Lol! I have pics saved from Pinterest but nothing positive yet...my fiancé is a firefighter so our colors are red, charcoal & cream. I like how this looks!diy bouquets!! - picture heavy 11

Initially, I wanted the blue and silver, but now, I'm reconsidering, lol! Probably will end up doing all-white flowers.

I need to make mine LOL Thank him for his service, please!! Red, charcoal, and cream are going to be beautiful together!! You could certainly have all of them in the bouquet if you wanted!! Lisa, maybe putting blue or silver or both just to add for a pop of color?? Well, at least you have time to think about it and play around with what you like!! I think all white is beautiful too!!
