DIY Arch/Arbor

Did anyone DIY an arch or arbor? I would prefer not to and just rent something but I have not been able to find anything like the one I want for rent. I think it would probably be pretty easy to construct (its just copper pipe attached together with corners)...but probably pricey as I believe copper...

Hi-- we bought a copper chuppah off fb marketplace but are having trouble making it sturdy-- what did you end up doing? (sandbags?)

    Hi!
We used small sandbags and wrapped them in pillow cases that went with our wedding colors (a dark purple). It worked great and you didn’t even notice them!

You know, it looks like our backdrop lady pulled the backdrop curtain forward to hide our sandbags! I didn’t notice!

Looks great! How did you transport it to the venue? Did you set it up there?

For the cost of supplies, labor, your time and sanity at minimum wage wage per hour, renting will be cheaper always. That also takes into account transportation, setup and attempting to sell it after unless you keep it as home decor.

Put each base in a separate heavy durable pot and pour concrete/plaster in allow it to harden. Decorate that to hide the plaster.

My dad didn’t completely put it together until we got to the venue so the pieces fit in the back of his truck. He connected the two sides at the venue.
