DIY Adding Bling to Shoes

I just ordered these bad boys today for my wedding shoes (eeeeek!). Not only do they match my bridesmaid dress color but they will also work for my something blue. I'm contemplating adding something (fancy buckle or crystals or something) to the toe area of the shoe for a little bling but was curious if anyone had any experience with it and if so, how did you go about doing it?

    After getting sticker shock for embellished shoes on Etsy, we decided to DIY. Like you, I bought satin flats from Dessy. Then we bought appliques and beads from Michaels and decorated them ourselves. There is more embellishment on the back by the heels, but this is the only pic I have handy. The shoes cost $25 I think and the decorations less than $10.

    I am adding lace and pearl beads to my shoes. I did a bunch of research online, and there are tons of youtube videos. The one thing they all agreed on was that the adhesive makes a difference. Get E6000.

    **I actually just got the lace Monday- so I will post pics when I finish them this week.
