Divorced Mother/Father walk bride down isle

Hopeless Romantic, on April 23, 2017 at 11:35 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Would it be weird if my mom and dad walked me down the isle?

I have a great relationship with both, and they have a civil relationship now even though their divorce ended in adultery 10 years ago.

I'm doing this and my parents don't love being around each other.

If they're civil with each other it should be fine. I went to a wedding recently where the divorced parents walked the bride down the aisle. I plan on doing the same. ETA autocorrect

Not at all weird. In fact, it's a pleasure to hear about two divorced parents who can behave like adults.

Both of my parents are going to walk me down the aisle, but they're still together. If your parents get along, it should be fine.

My parents are divorced and I will be having them both walk me down the aisle. I am unsure if they can stand each other long enough, but I sure hope they can.

My parents are divorced but get along great... they know it's important to me that they both walk me down the aisle. Smiley smile I think it makes them look very mature and shows that they are thinking of you first on your big day!

So what? My parents divorced 38 years ago, and they will be walking me down the aisle, and they don't speak to each other at all.

Same thing. My parents divorced 20 years ago. Both will walk with me.

I'd ask them separately. Starting with the one most likely to say no.

I don't see why not as long as they're civil and act like adults?

My mom is walking me down the aisle, my dad may or may not show up

This is what I'm doing as well! I don't think it's weird at all. I'm so excited to have them both with me during that moment.
