Divorced friend plus one

Fmv, on January 30, 2020 at 11:31 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 8
Hey everyone!

So my good friend got married last year, she just told me she is getting divorced- her husband has been cheating and no longer wants to be with her. Im heartbroken for her. We did already send out of save the dates which had the husbands name on it. Obviously he will not be coming.
I plan on obviously giving her a plus one.On the invite would i write and guest or do i ask her who she would like to bring?

Assuming she's not in another relationship, you would write "and guest."

I wrote and guest on a friend’s in a similar situation. I did ask what she was planning about her name as well. My friend is in process of changing back to her maiden name so I went ahead and used her preferred name.

I would just ask her who she wants to bring. Since she is a good friend, I think that would be respectful! (:

Just write "and guest" since you don't know if she's in another relationship or not. It's very nice of you to be so thoughtful though.

I would address the invite "and guest." If she opts to bring one and doesn't write the name in on the RSVP, then I would reach out to get the name.
