Disposable plates

Has anyone priced out how much it is to purchase heavy plastic disposable plates? This popped up on my Facebook today and I'm almost wondering if it'll be cheaper to rent these dishes than it would be to buy good quality disposable plates. Thanks for your help!

In the same plastic boat lol if we wanted real flat wear then we had to pay an insane amount for dish washing! We are having and outside casual tent wedding! Our caterer offered 2$ per person or buying them ourselves! He told me to just look around and see what deals we can find at websteruant, smarty had a party, Sams and amazon and if we come up with nothing then 2$ a person it is through their wholesaler!

I've said this before on here, the only thing that I would be upset with as a guest is having to cut meat with a plastic knife. If you are going to have meat that needs to be cut PLEASE give your guest real knifes. I'm also not a fan of most plastic spoons or forks but if you get good quality it should be fine.

We'll use china, glass and actual silverware for our wedding. Any time I use disposable, I always use something compostable. There are some attractive options available. I just can't bring myself to use plastic unless it's recycled.

I bought heavy duty plastic plates that look very nice from Costco. They come in packs of 50. 25 dinner plates, 25 dessert plates.

We are renting China for dinner but using the hard, plastic disposables for apps and desserts.

I told my caterer heavy duty plastic. My wedding will be an outdoor backyard wedding. I don't want too much cleanup

Considering buying some awesome Eco-friendly plates to use for buffet apps since we are having a food truck cater and they have those paper boxes. I'm guessing it just depends on your style? We're having a super laid back ceremony/reception.

Someone else posted their BAM and had done silverware packets.

I totally stole the idea and made these guys today.

We are using heavy duty plates from Costco. It's a smaller casual backyard wedding.
