Disposable Plates Question

Christina, on February 22, 2020 at 6:20 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
Okay so my bartender said she could put real champagne glasses on table with water. I thought that was great because I’m nervous about beverages leaking in disposable.

However I’m doing disposable plates for my wedding and silverware. I’m actually really excited to use them! Easy cleanup and one less vendor to work with. However I’m struggling with how to set up my table. Should I do disposable with real glasses on table ? Or leave plates with the Buffett? Or would it look weird to disposable silverware down with realChampagne glasses ? Should I scrap the real champagne glasses for disposable so Itis not off? Would love some advice/suggestions please !

I don’t think I would mix the two. I’d keep the disposables near the buffet.

You could look into bamboo plates. Its disposable, economical and with glasses adds an enchanted feel.

If you’re going disposable— go all the way, except for your toasting champagne (bride and groom) flutes.

I’d do disposable champagne glasses if you’re doing disposable plates! Everything we’re doing is think plastic because I didn’t think plastic and “real” mixed well.

Since you have a buffet, definitely have the plates there!! Less work for guests. Silverware and napkins can be pre-set on the table.

Leave the plates at the buffet table and make sure you have enough extras for multiple trips and keeping in line with health department laws.

Glass vs disposable drinkware is personal preference. What did you end up going with?

I wouldn’t mix the two. Plastic champagne flutes are perfectly fine. Just use glass for you and FH. Disposal plates should be on the buffet and like PP said be sure to have extras. No one should take a dirty plate back to the buffet for 2nds. Silverware and napkins can be on the tables along with a charger if you want a “complete” table look.
