Display bridal shower

I went to a shower like this. It was about an hour shorter than a standard shower and I really enjoyed it. The bride stood up next to the gifts and gave a really sweet thank you speech to everyone.

I've heard of them my SIL suggested it to me. I love the idea of being able to mingle more and I agree it gets boring watching gifts being open but I feel some people especially the older one might not get get it or like it ya know?

Following... I definitely am not one for having attention on me while opening gifts. This option would be awesome for my showers.

I was recently at a shower with a display table but most of the guests wanted to see the gifts and be recognized for their own gifts so we ended up sitting around and passing the gifts anyway. Just without the unwrapping process.... kind of defeated he purpose, ya know?

I love this idea. I've never been to one but I think watching people open gifts can be incredibly boring. Unless the host does a gift bingo game. That could make it fun.

I love display showers. When brides open gifts it ends up taking forever and everyone stops paying attention. Instead of spending so much time opening gifts I have seen lots of fun interactive games, photo areas, and the bride gets to spend more time with her guests

I have been to a few of display showers. It is really nice! I do think the gifts need to be displayed nicely and tags need to be on the gifts indicating what iitnisband whonitnis from. This is a perfect thing for bridesmaids to do as guests arrive. If you think about it this is similar to acknowledging gifts that have been shipped directly to the couple.
