Disney Aulani Honeymoon

Marcy, on January 15, 2023 at 10:21 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 7

Disney Aulani has a Honeymoon page on their website that mentions room extras such as sweets and champagne. There was no note section to add "celebrating Honeymoon" when making the reservation so I'm wondering if I'll need to call and ask about it, or if it's something we just mention when checking in.

The reason I'm asking before I try to call is because I've dealt with Disney a lot in the past and remember long long waits on the phone. I also called another hotel we're staying at during our Honeymoon and they just told me to mention it when we check in. So, to possibly save me some time I'd appreciate some info from others who stayed there during their Honeymoon.

Thanks!

We didn't go to Aulani, but we did go to WDW, and I would call. It's always easier to talk to a cast member and get things handled ahead of time. I had to call (to add something to our WDW vacation in May) and I wasn't on hold for 5 minutes - it was insanely short - I was shocked, because, I've also been on hold for hours with Disney.

As a side-note, the in-room extras are often at extra cost. Cast members have discretion to make a certain amount of magic, but there are no guarantees. (In fact, when we were on our honeymoon, we were at dinner and saw another couple come in, not wearing their buttons, they took ear hats out of a bag and set them on the table, pretty obviously expecting the waitstaff to produce magic - they got nothing.)

Thanks for the info! I did end up calling and they said they don’t offer anything. I thought that was a bit weird though because on their website they have a honeymoon page and note welcoming amenities and luxurious extras such as champagne, chocolate, etc.

They're just saying that their amenities are welcoming (that you'll be comfortable in the rooms) and that you can get extras (anyone can order them, but they have some that are aimed at honeymooners). Just go and have fun, buy things that you want, and if you get a sprinkle of pixie dust, then that's awesome.

Thanks for your input. Though unfortunately it doesn’t seem like you can order anything either, I asked about that as well. It’s okay though not a huge deal! Was just curious. Still excited to go!

Does Aulani have a Floral and Gifts page (I think that’s what it’s called)? At WDW that’s where you can place orders for in room gifts (which like others said cost extra, but they will have some intended for romantic couples gifts). I would maybe check the WDW version to confirm and then try to find the Aulani equivalent. I honestly would not put much credence into a phone call with one cast member because Disney is huge, and you’ll get conflicting info from one call to the next. (The cast members are wonderful; it’s just a ton of info they’re expected to know, and none of them know everything). Aulani does Disney weddings, so they have a floral department and I would be shocked if they can’t send (as in take your money for) like a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne up to your room.
