Where do the BM's leave their purses for the ceremony?

Mrs._S, on September 24, 2017 at 4:35 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

It never occurred to me until now. I am the MOH for my FSIL wedding on 10/7. She has 9 maids including myself and we are getting little clutches from her to hold our phones and stuff. Where do people leaves these? We are coming from her condo to the church by a car service and I know the bm's don't walk down the aisle with clutches.

What does one do?

I'm sure you will be able to leave them in the church somewhere - the minister's office, a spare room where you will wait before walking down the aisle, etc.

There should be a section in the church where you wait to walk down the isle. I would say leave them in there. If there is no room like that, then leave them in the car if it is staying there. If that's not an option then give it to someone trustworthy to hold on to.

The wedding planner took my girls items to watch. In the past I've also given my bag to my husband to hang on to. He loves that.

That's a great idea! It never even occurred to me where the bm's leave their stuff. I'm not too familiar with the church but I'll bring this up to my FSIL.

This is actually a great question, because I am wondering the same thing for a wedding I am in in few weeks! For mine, we had a room where they cld be stored (wasnt locked up, but was further away from things). This wedding I am in though is not at a church, and there is no house to store them at, so I dont know what to do!

My church has a room where the bridal party waits and does a final primp. My MoH, for whom I was her MoH, got married at the same church where we will be having our ceremony. We parked our stuff in that room.

When I was a BM we had kind of a "holding room" (I think it was someone's office) and we all hung out in there until the ceremony, so I'm sure you'll have a "home base" where people can leave their things.

I gave mine to FH for my friends wedding a few weeks ago. We also had a bridal suite we left stuff in.
