Have you crunched the numbers? I took some time last weekend to figure out the total amount of what we've spent on the wedding. The total included everything the venue, food, beverage, dress, alterations, grooms stuff, gifts, placecards, etc. Nothing was left out and it came to.......... $26,272.09...

$26,272.09 **correction, had to add in the $50.00 from last night's final fitting.

not too bad considering, that's what some people just spend on venue, food, and beverage.

Alright ladies, go time! =)

Final number of $28,395.34. More than half of that is rings though. Our vegas ceremony and in suite reception is costing us next to nothing.

Including honeymoon, we're sitting close to $25k. But both myself and FH are so pleased and blessed with what we were able to do within our budget.

We are at about 40K for ~200 people on a Saturday... in the summer. That is mostly being paid by my parents, with some of it being paid by FH and I. That doesn't include the Honeymoon, or the engagement ring.

The food seems to be the most costly.

100 people at $68 per person. that's food and drink.

Wow! I could not imagine feeding people (a lot who I don't even know, lol) for $68 a person. I have worked ours out and its roughly about $7.50 per person. that is at 120 people.

but I am cheap!!! but we are having GOOD filling food!

@jessica- shoe clips are a great way to brush up a bland pair of shoes. You can find them on etsy and they can be placed anywhere on your shoe.

Our total will be about $3,500... That includes almost everything except a few incidentals. We are DIYing flowers, decor and food and saving SO much money that way. I think people will be shocked when they see how beautiful everything turns out.

Sarah I hope you are right with yours and mine too. LOL We DIY'd everything we possibly could. We didn't want big and fancy though. It's just not who we are. In fact the parking lot at the church is liable to be filled with rock crawlers when we come outside.

Ours will come in at 35k. Over the original budget but we also added 20 extra ppl to the guest list, so it all works out.

Our total was $11,400 for 105 people at a golf club. That includes everything except for the honeymoon, which was about $1,500.00 (including airfare), so right at $13,000.00. And we personally paid around $8,000.00 because the rest were gifts or our parents contributed.

Ours is about $4,500(honeymoon not included). Backyard receptions rock, especially when your parents live on 6 acres and their backyard view is the rocky mountains Smiley smile We also lucked out by having a DJ, Caterer, and Florist in the family. I could not imagine spending over $10,0000 on an 8hr event. Making my day all about the love was my focus! Even when I wanted something more expensive I would constantly repeat that to myself to make smarter financial decisions.

Without the honeymoon or considering any financial contributions, we ae looking at 21,642. however, there are certain items that i know i can trim down when it comes down to do, but we are ahead of the game with time right now! That also is not including Honeymoon
