My FH and I are paying for our wedding entirely ourselves (except for my dress—my mother is buying that for me), so we’re on a pretty tight budget. We’ve got about a year out, and we’re looking for areas where we can save a little bit of money. Does anyone have tips for saving money without sacrificing quality? Is there anything you think you paid too much for—or which you’d sprung for higher price/better quality on?

If you are not doing all inclusive (we aren't) and you have a year out, look for things on clearance when the season ends. I got all my flowers at Michael's at the end of last fall (We are getting married in October) and they were 80% off. I skipped Save the dates, programs, and favors (all stuff I threw away from every wedding I've gone to). Facebook marketplace is great, just check prices (some had stuff more expensive than new!). I used Groupon and got my invitations from Zazzle (I Love them!). Just a few things I have done so far. We are also on a tight budget.
