What have you become IDGAF about

Laura, on June 15, 2015 at 12:19 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 49

I obsessed over tablecloths for the first month or 2 of planning. I ended up buying some @ efavormart and got a great sale. They were listed as gray. The more I look at them (they've been in the spare room for 6 months) the more light tan/kaki they look, At first I was annoyed and upset. But I know I'm not going to have the money to buy more, it will be dark for most of the reception and at this point IDGAF. They are plain polyester table linens. They were never meant to be a huge part of the décor so this morning I decided fuck it. only reason I'm bummed is I don't know how else to incorporate much gray into it and it's one of my main colors (gray, eggplant and champagne and ivory) My bouquet will have the eggplant and ivory. My dress and the sequin table cloth will have champagne. BM dresses will likely be black bc I need to keep it simple and cheap, as well as them legitimately being able to wear them again.

So what have you decided IDGAF on, after it seemed so important?

    Table numbers. The cake (frankly, as long as there is one, I'm fine). Ring bearer outfits.

    Lmao!!! Ok, so what I'm hearing is that by the 90 day mark everything is on the fuck-it train. LOL! Both of you ladies are within that 3 month mark, so it's funny that your responses were basically the same.

    Pretty much everything, except for being able to fit into my dress, and making sure we have a way to transport the bridal party from the photo location to the ceremony venue.

    I went to a wedding last Sat. where the bride obsessed about everything being perfect, to the point of finding tealights the same colour as her pearls, BM shoes, and the macarons. Since the ceremony went longer than expected, by the time we got to the venue the tealights had burned all the wax away, so we never saw what colour they were.

    I figure it's either DGAF or get stressed out, myself. and I'm definitely still on the first.

    Everything, for real for real. Long as the venue, cake, DJ & photographer are paid I could care less about anything else at this point lol

    @Laura - yep...i hit about 3 months and i was like, IDGAF!

    I had these big ideas for my invitations, like i was going to make pocket folds, which isn't a big deal but when i put it together, i didn't like it. So a friend who's getting married a few weeks after us game me her left-over invites and that's what i used. Printed them out and DONE!

    I was also going to make my own chocolate candies but then i ate most of the chocolate i was going to use (yes i did) and instead of buying more, i decided to buy some small packaged chocolate at Coscto. I'll put them in the pretty boxes i've made and DONE!

    The more i look at the bridesmaid dresses, the less i like them and the color. I just can't care about it or it will drive me crazy.

    I'm sure there will be more as the date gets closer.

    To be honest, i just want it over with at this point.

    Surfergirl, FH wants to do that for his GM, just let them wear suits they already have. I really want to be ok with this, to save them money (2 are having to travel) but I am nervous they will all be different styles and look strange in the pictures.

    At this point, pretty much everything. Just so ready to be married.

    But a big one that happened recently, is a lack of response for bridesmaids, I no longer care if you get your hair done. Your problem.
