You may have started the planning process knowing that balancing your budget or trimming down the guest list would be tough - but which part of planning surprisingly stressed you out?

Two things: Guest list and officiant. Hubby wanted to hire a friend (who became ordained just for us) and he caused me A LOT of stress. He did not take it seriously - I was like dude you are the legal part here. Don't hire friends, lol.

Finding a venue. We were pretty picky plus trying to find somewhere to accommodate a small guest list (we didn't want a restaurant) caused a lot of stress. It was the only time during planning that I seriously considered throwing in the towel and just eloping.

Two things... guest list and making sure all the guys get their suits. FH kept changing his mind on his list, adding and removing, right up until invites were sent out. Everything was made super easy for the guys, they just needed to get sized, and there's still one that hasn't gone.

The guest list! I cant gey through it! I don't know what it is but it's just not possible. Staying on budget has been slightly difficult but thankfully I have a fiancé that knows money stuff better than I do.

Guest list is our challenge right now. We want a small wedding with 50 people and FMIL wants us to invite a million people from out of state. She says it's for the gifts, but I'm afraid of them actually showing up and going over our guest count on the venue contract!

Has to be the invitations! Trying to find the perfect design, the price, the etiquette with guests’ naming, assembling them, and I’m sure trying to track down RSVPs won’t be easy!

The most stressful part has been dealing with a negative friend & people asking to come to the wedding..which doesn’t seem like it should bother me but it has become annoying.

the budget it feels like it keeps changing

families opinions I consider them very important but hard to please

where our ceremony would be and who would officiate (a lot of different options but we really want to get married at our church and have our pastor officiate but thus far we have been too scared to ask him)

the bar how much is it going to be (our venue does not offer a per person cost) and how much should/can we provide (we have guests who will take way too much advantage so we are thinking of cutting the alcohol at a certain time when most people will be leaving)

The guest list has been my biggest stress. I have mine completed but FH and his family are acting like it's a piece of gold that no one wants to part with. I dont think they realize come November when I'm ready to mail the STDs, its on! their list must be ready

For me it's finding ceremony sight for a beach wedding and a reception venue. It's the first time and I love planning my wedding but it's hard to find what I am looking for.

Edit: the guest list. It feels like you're picking who cannot come, and I hate that.

The guest list because his parents have different ideas of who should be there than we do.

The guest list! Sitting down to come up with a list was easy, but then there are these family members that you never see, but you know will be an issue if they're not invited. But, I don't really want to invite them. Or, wanting to invite on 3rd cousin because you actually hang out with her, but not wanting to invite any of your other 3rd cousins because you have spoken to or seen them in years Smiley xd
