What do you think of my DIY centerpices?

Kc&do, on December 14, 2017 at 9:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 43

A little bit of glue and I think I like them better now. Opinions? The butterfly flutter. I'll put them with the black lanterns the bff venue provides.

Well, they are obviously fake flowers. Can you take a side view so we can figure out what is in the middle?

There's nothing wrong with fake flowers. I think they look pretty! Could you maybe add more butterflies?

Not my taste at all, but for what it's worth I think they look okay put together - though I don't really get the trapped butterfly in the middle? Why is it encased??

ETA; where exactly do lanterns come into play here?

Maybe a better quality fake flower would look better

I am not a fan, they are really big and fake looking. There are many gorgeous non-floral centerpiece options. Personally, I think those often look better than fake floral centerpieces, and can be equally cost efficient. eta: Where would the lanterns go? They don't really fit with what you already have.

Why don't you wait for at least a year? Your wedding isn't for almost two years.

Would the butterfly go in the lantern?

Were your butterflies going to be inside the lanterns? I still like them. They have a fairy whimsical feel

I think its an excellent rough draft as long as you plan on using more realistic flowers and ditch the plastic the butterfly currently is in and put it in the lantern instead. The cheapness of the supplies really takes away the beauty from your idea.

No the lantern would be next to it. Wish I had a lantern to see what it would look like all together. Well I guess you guys won't like my aisle runners either. To think my mom wanted to just put this on the table. Lol

You still have a long time to come up with different ideas if you wanted to. I googled butterfly wedding centerpieces and there are a lot of ideas out there

What if you got rid of the clear (plastic?) thing in the middle and used the lantern in the middle instead like your inspo pic?

Are you doing butterflies throughout your wedding? Or just in the centerpieces? I agree with the quality of the fake flower if you are going to use them. I would leave the butterflies "free" and have them incorporated into the flowers. I wish I had a good pic of our centerpieces. We had butterflies in them.

The inspirational pic has the lantern in the middle but your vision has the lantern to the side. The lantern seems like an after thought. Perhaps the lantern can go in the middle and the butterflies attached to some of the flowers? I have no opposition to fake flowers but the ones you have seem overwhelmingly big.
