What do I put on my wedding website?

LoveInDC, on February 10, 2016 at 2:39 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

So I'm working through my wedding website and trying to cover all my basics. But I can't think of things to include!

When looking at wedding websites, what do you expect to find? BONUS: What are some of your favorite, unexpected elements you've seen or had on your own site?

I personally love when the menu is on the website. It gives me an opportunity to know what to expect especially when it's not a plated meal where I get to select my choice.

@Amber I love that idea! When I finalize the menu, I'll definitely put it up. As a picky eater myself, I tend to obsess over menus before I eat anywhere. I can't believe I didn't think of it! Thanks Smiley smile

Oh don't worry! I didn't think about it until I saw someone's website that had it!

Besides info about the wedding itself, I'm putting little blurbs about our BP. Also putting some information on things to do in Mobile for our OOT guests, in case they want to stay all weekend. I also put a few "fun facts" about me and Andrew for people who only know one of us!

The site we used has a guestbook portion for people to post. We also have a romantic quote on our first page.

We did the usual when, where, what page, a fun fact page for FH and I, directions and accommodations page, meet the party page, RSVP and request a song page, and a picture slideshow page. I love the menu idea!

I think it's really cute to have a "story of us" page where you explain how you met, your relationship, and how the proposal happened!

We did an "our story" page, a page about parking and hotel recommendations, a page about the bridal party, and an rsvp/song request page.
