What did you wear for your engagement photos?

I think FI might wear some slacks/nice jeans and a polo. For myself though, no clue!

We went casual for ours. It was a warm day for the end of May 2016.

Just wear something that you're going to be comfortable in. I think a cute tea party dress would be lovely!

Here is the dress that I wore for our pics, FH wore a blush button up and a nice pair of jeans. For our more casual outfit I wore dark jeans and a white top and FH wore the same jeans but with a plain burgundy top and sleeves rolled up. Our photographer based our poses off of what we would be comfortable doing in what we were wearing

I kind of wanted a vintage feel with a pop of color, but I can see that everyone's comfortable outfits look amazing!

We went 50s. Lol.

I wore a bright yellow blouse and jeans, and FH wore a black tshirt and jeans (and a navy blazer, which he had on for some pictures and took off for others.)

Another question I have - are the photographers who took your photos the ones you ultimately went with for wedding photography?

FH had on a button up shirt and nice slacks, I wore a dress. I really wanted FH to wear nice jeans instead of slacks, but he changed his mind before we left the house...

We wore a casual look and a dressier (semi formal) one. He wore jeans and a button down for his casual and a tailored suit for the semi formal. I wore a skirt and button down top for my casual and a gown for the semi formal.

Also, our best pictures were candid/non-posed shots. We were joking and playing around and photos of those moments were the best. My FH never knows what to do with his face when he has to pose so those types of pics always looks weird:-)

We hired our photographer to do our wedding but the engagement shoot was apart of our package and it was a good way to get to work with her and see how she photographs us before the wedding

You know, I love the ideas I'm getting here. Thank you everyone - I'm leaning towards a more casual comfortable look now

Keep it simple, but stylish) Maybe ask your photographer for advice. And for more tips about posing, retouching and so one , I can suggest you visiting Wedding-Retouching website, it really helped me)

We dressed ours up for our first session our second session will be more dressed down

I agree keep it casual! Maybe include a few shoots in a nice outfit, but nothing over the top!
