We are doing a candy buffett. I didn't want to give my guests anything that they wouldn't do. So, I'm getting nestalgic (sp?) candy in our colors. Green and Brown shouldn't be too hard to find.

We're doing little keys (all KINDS of keys. Old keys new keys what ever we can find) with little cards on them that have each person's table number, and a little note from us on it. Smiley smile So its a favor AND an escort card.

We're having a destination wedding in Mexico so we (...I) went a little overboard with favors.

    - saltwater taffy

    - mini bottles of hot sauce with a customized sugar skull label (Our names and wedding date)

    - maracas

I'm actually really excited about the wedding favors! I can't wait for people to see them.

Do something edible if you can. perhaps you can get some candy boxes from Oriental Trading and buy some bulk candy to fill them or do a donation to a charity and let your guests know with a cute little poem at each place setting, they don't need to know how much you donated, just that you gave in lieu of a favor.

ETA we'll have several favors, we're doing a gourmet candy buffet, photobooth where we'll be giving out plastic magnet strips that will hold the photos, maple syrup and a small box of truffles that will serve as our escort 'cards'.

We are having weddings fans with a customized name and date on it. I was just lucky that my parents got them from the Philippines for super duper cheap otherwise I would have gone with those cute bubble wands that was a 100 pack for $20 at Walmart or some cute keychains. Something edible would be a nice thing too though because they are not too expensive.

If you wanted to double up, my Aunt dud a bubble send off and had the bubbles be the favors. 4 for $1 at the dollar tree and a little money for some ribbon that matches your decor colors. Although favors really aren't necessary Smiley smile

I ordered personalized match boxes that say PERFECT MATCH with our names and wedding date from David's Bridal website, they were .50 each I think.

My sister has her own candle company so she is making little candle tins for everyone. My FH and I are picking our favorite scents and then combining them to make "our" scent. It'll be amber vanilla. With her wholesale pricing, total cost will probably be about $1.50 per candle.

    We actually had three favors.

    1) Candy bar

    2) Photo booth- It came with our videography package.

    3) Heart and rose shaped candy melts.

Yes, we had two candy favors, and our guests were pleased! I put 5-6 candy melts in each bag per guest.

I doubt we are even going to do the favors...I thought back to all the weddings I have been there and the favors that weren't edible never got used, even the koozies we got at FH's cousin's wedding (they are still sitting in our dry bar along with a mini bottle of chardonnay that we got as a favor at another cousin's wedding, still unopened). Even with the edibles, the majority of the time we just end up throwing them away or I find them in my "dressy" purse when it gets pulled out at the next wedding we go to.

With that being said, we are planning on having a photo booth, so I GUESS that kinda counts as a favor!
