What are you doing for your guestbook?

Amanda, on May 3, 2017 at 11:04 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 117

Hello! I am curious what everyone is doing for their guestbook? I want to do something other than your standard book but haven't decided what yet. I was looking at log slab "guestbooks" but I am still not completely decided.

Show/tell me your ideas!

We are doing a 'Guest Tree' made of wood cut outs and mounted on a nice sturdy board. Guests will sign the hearts and then we can frame it and hang it in our home. It was pretty pricey but the quality is amazing, we got to choose the heart color and they added our name and date to it. Highly recommend the seller - Wedding3D on Etsy. It was a long wait for shipping but so worth it.

FH has always wanted a snowboard bench. He is going to make one out of a few of our old snowboards and we will have guests sign it and somehow seal it in (don't ask me how it's his deal). It will likely be an outdoor piece of furniture haha but it's totally us. Attaching an example

I have an old jar that I am putting our wedding date on. We are then collecting rocks from our special place where my FH proposed to me. We will then have our guest sign a rock and give it a blessing. Then place in the jar.

I ordered mine from Peachwik. It's an elegant tree with two love birds in it. People sign the leaves of the tree.

We plan on having people sign the spaces of a board game TBD. We wouldn't display a canvas, but we will pull games out regularly to play.

FW and I love poetry, so we're planning to ask guests to sign their names and include the title of their favorite poems. After the wedding we plan to print out a copy of each poem and compile them into a wedding anthology with the guest list/recommendations comprising the table of contents. FW's uncle runs a printing press and has agreed to bind a hardcover edition as his gift to us.

    Btw: Love the tree!

We are having people sign all over this and framing it for our living room after the wedding. It's our wedding colors, but also matches most of the decor in our house (what can I say, I love green and blue together).

We've lived in 3 different states since we've been together, so I'm going to pair it with pictures from each city and a "home is wherever I'm with you" canvas print.

I am a sewist, so I am doing a quilt guest book. I'll cut out all the pieces, and each guest can sign whichever piece they'd like. I'll then collate and sew them all together to make an heirloom to pass down. The idea i got from pinterest...

You all have such great ideas! After browsing Etsy I think I may end up going with something like this ...

We spent more than half of our relationship long distance so I think it it goes a long with our relationship really well. I could totally see it hung up on our wall Smiley smile

I have a "guest book" from peachwik. It's red and white hearts on black poster board (they also have canvas) that I've framed and people sign the hearts. They have all different designs and you customize the colors.
