Personally, I don't like to be matchy matchy. But make sure you wear something that's comfortable!

To keep the wardrobe coordinated but not too matchy, have one of you go with a plaid (always great for fall!) and the other pick up a solid color from the plaid. Under the plaid have a solid T and under the sweater a solid mock T. Jeans. I also tell my couples to puruse through their favorite clothing catalog and get inspired by what the models are wearing in the lifestyle shots.

I love it when couples put effort into their wardrobe. It always helps complete the image. From there, have fun!

Don't do them in July in Texas. You will sweat your face off! :-(

I bought two outfits from Target that made me feel pretty. I didnt have anything in my closet at the time that made me feel that way. Also, as mentioned above - a good photog will make you feel comfortable! I wore solids and DH wore prints - I think it turned out nice.

Just be yourself and have fun with it! Also make sure you are wearing something you feel good in, I think it will show in the pictures if you feel good.

Do it in an environment that makes you both comfortable - for example, if neither of you are very outdoorsy, don't do it in the middle of the woods or hiking up a mountain because as pretty as it is, the fact that you're unhappy and uncomfortable will show in the pictures. If cliche poses make you feel awkward, tell your photographer you'd prefer candid shots! (I always love candid shots better than posing like a portrait.) And of course, dress for the weather. You don't want a bunch of shots of you shivering in the cold in a short dress! Smiley smile
