Welcome Party + Day After Brunch head count

Lo, on July 6, 2018 at 7:11 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8

Hi Everyone,

I am planning a welcome cocktail hour + day after brunch as there are many out of town guests and I assume most "local" will still get a hotel. I am looking for tips on getting an accurate head count for these events. We are expecting between 120 - 140 at the wedding and are opening the invite to everyone. I plan to put the RSVP button on my website but I fear not everyone will respond to this.

I would include something about this in your invitation. Then, guests can rsvp to it right when they are rsvping to the wedding.

Have the guests rsvp for all wedding events no matter what method you choose for rsvp"s.

Follow up with those who don't rsvp.

We’re doing this too and having all the info on a details card and asking them to RSVP.

Ed sent out separate invites with RSVP cards for our welcome dinner. For the brunch, I added a line to the wedding RSVP card so they would mark if they were coming to the wedding and the brunch on the same card. So far it’s worked out well

You may want to include rsvp cards for the welcome and the brunch as well as for the wedding in your invitation enclosures to get a more accurate head count. You may also consider reaching out to the hotels you contract for your guests to get an idea of how many rooms were booked using your wedding code if you are concerned about using multiple rsvp cards. The number of rooms may give you an idea of how many guests to expect. Best of luck!

Hi Lauren! This is a great idea. Keep it simple and however it will be easiest for you, since you're already planning a wedding, after all. Smiley smile You could definitely send it out in your invites or on your website, whatever you think will work best to get follow-ups from your guests.
