Wedding Dress..once the Wedding is Over

Soon2Bmrsp, on July 26, 2018 at 2:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 32

What are you doing with your dresses once the wedding is over? I know that my daughter is not going to want to wear my dress. I'm of course having it cleaned and restored by David's bridal but after that, what do I do with it.

I guess mine is going into the closet lol my daughter is 4 so idk if she'll want it or not haha. I've seen some people literally put it in a frame and put it on the wall. You could sell it if you really dont want to keep it

My mom had it preserved in a box and it's just sitting in her closet. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with mine.

I think I'm going to donate mine. I'll never wear it again and I only paid $99 for it on sale. Its listed at $599 now. I know it'll make some other bride happy!

My friend had hers shortened into a cocktail dress. And has actually worn it a few more times!

Preowned Wedding Dresses and Stillwhite. No luck so far, but it's only been up for 9 days. They charge you about $20 to put the listing up, but it's really easy to set up. If no one tries to buy it I'll likely end up donating it, but it was $$$$ so I'd love to be able to gift my parents something with the money.

My mom had hers preserved and kept it and even though it didn't fit me to wear it, I did get permission from her to cut some lace off of the bottom to wrap around my flowers and my sisters flowers (my MOH) so it's something old and good luck as my parents have been married 28 years!

I plan to keep mine because you never know. Even if I have a daughter and she doesn't want to wear it, she may be able to re-purpose it for something for her wedding.

I got mine cleaned and preserved and put in a nice box. Right now the box is sitting in the closet.

I don't know what I'll do with mine, but my mom donated hers a few years ago to a company that makes gowns for stillborn babies.
