Wedding depression.

Maybridetribe!, on February 6, 2019 at 12:52 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
Hey guys. Wondering if anyone could help me with a situation. I’m getting married in May! My brother just passed away in November. He was my only brother and I kind of lost all inspiration and motivation for my wedding. I gained all my weight I lost for my wedding back:/ I still have to do my favors, book my honeymoon. I just have no motivation to do anything.

I can relate! When my dad passed away in 2017 I was devastated. I always dreamed of a wedding where my daddy walked mr down the isle (daddy's girl). And I knew then I wouldn't have that. I said I never wanted a wedding after that cause what's the point. I spent a year on the couch. But you know... mmy dad would be upset if he was here and I was just moping on the couch. He would be upset I didn't want a wedding with the woman of my dreams cause he knows ...i've dreamt of it my whole life. He wouldn't want me so sad all the time. And i'm sure your brother feels the same! Do it FOR him. Push through. Cause i'm sure he'd hate to see you so very sad. I'm so so so very sorry for your loss. He will be there. Every step. And I truly in my heart of hearts believe that.

Yea I agree, it’s so hard. My heart breaks every time I even think of the wedding. I feel bad for my fiancé because he didn’t feels like I’m not interested:/

My FH dad passed away at that same time my opinion would be contact your MOH and let her take over but make sure your included for all the details/ decisions and use the extra time to grieve. It helped us doing that. I just recently took back over but it gave me the time I needed.
