Veil w/ hair completely down

Kacie, on January 27, 2019 at 9:35 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 10
Has anyone tried wearing a veil with their hair completely down (not half-up or pulled back in any way)? If so, how did you keep it secure?

I’ve already ordered my veil and it has the standard small comb to secure it. However, I’m wondering if I need to make an adjustment...

Well my hair was pulled back on one side but it didn’t help with my veil... I’m guessing your hair stylist will secure it using Bobby pins

What about a flower crown that it could attach to?

I tried on my veil with my hair down and it stayed. but I have a weave it so that may have helped. I think the hairstylist can help secure it on the wedding day

I did for my bachelorette party and it was falling a little down so I had to reapply. My hairs is extremely soft and straight but when I did some tease and apply the veil it lasted longer. I say the professionals would know what to do to keep it stay so maybe ask them.

Your stylist should have some suggestions on how to keep it in place, but I would try back combing your hair or using hair padding so the comb will have something to hold on to.

    Thanks so much, everyone!

When I tried on the veil I had forgotten the stylist pulled my hair back a little to secure it. I loved the dress (it was the one!) so much I didn’t question it!

Sounds like it’s still possible to have my hair down. Smiley smile

I’m also hoping for hair down with a light finger tip length veil. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Bobby pins and clips are your best friend.

When I was dress shopping, I tried on a veil during the process with my hair down, and it stayed in place. I have thick hair, so that could have worked to my advantage. I would suggest bobby pins, or something along those lines to help keep it up, or ask your hair stylist for help, too.
