Hello all! Happy Friday! Last week, I posted that I was going to CA for my one weekend of wedding planning before August - and the best part was my ice cream tasting. We're not having cake, and instead four flavors from here: http://www.mcconnells.com/

After trying easily 30 flavors, we made our decisions! We got a little foodie with these, but OMG THEY ARE DELICIOUS I SWEAR.

- Chocolate Covered Strawberry

- Dutchman's Milk Chocolate

- Lemon and Marionberry (Oregonian blackberry)

- Olive Oil and Roasted Almond

Can we make it August now please? I need all of these in my face again.

The first 3 sound awesome, but the fourth confuses me. That's icecream? Is it good? Haha

Lemon and Marionberry sounds like heaven...

ETA: Also, I now want ice cream. Damn it.

The Olive Oil and Roasted Almond was by far my favorite. It's really creamy, and if you didn't know the name you would think it was vanilla and salted almond.

My mother vetoed the salted caramel before anyone else even tried it I've had it before, and she's right - it's REALLY rich. Too much caramel, if that's possible. I also loved the peanut butter chip, but others nixed that, sadly. Coffee chip was also in the running, but it has chocolate in it too and I didn't want three flavors with chocolate in it. I'm not a huge chocolate person.

Apparently too much of a good thing is NOT always wonderful. I love caramel anything, but I do think it's a little intense.

I'm soooo excited for the ice cream; we're even renting little café tables and chairs and a street lamp, so the ice cream area will look like a little sidewalk Parisian ice cream shop

That is awesome! We are doing an ice cream sundae bar ourselves! Yay for ice cream at weddings! Lemon and Marionberry sounds amazing.
