Uneven bridal party sitting during ceremony

I have 10 bridesmaids and my fh only has 4 men on his side. Now that I have finished all my bridesmaid proposals I am thinking about how uneven they will look up there during the ceremony( which will be on the beach, in the sand) I’m having an image of 27 dresses in my head! When I have been a bridesmaid, I have always hated standing. My feet hurt and i can only see the grooms face and I always felt I would have preferred to sit and watch. But logistically is it weird to have them walk down the aisle and then be seated? Do you think they should walk the aisle and go directly into the row to be seated, or wait for me to walk and then be seated? Thanks for any thoughts

If you want them up there keep it... however if you want them to sit then have everyone sit once you've arrived

Any reason you have that many bridesmaids? I had more groomsmen than I had bridesmaids. But beside the point, Have a shorter ceremony. I think they can stand for 15-25 minutes. Ours I think was 20 minutes. Good luck!

What if you had just the maid of honor and the best man remain standing? They could stay up to hold your bouquet and the rings (and keep both sides even!) and you could time the rest of the party to sit down as you arrive at the alter and the officiant asks everyone else to resume their seats so it doesn't look as odd.

I don't think it would be wrong if they sat down. Perhaps they could stand up there until you walk in, which everyone will stand for anyway, then they can sit down with everyone else so its less noticeable. I have ten ladies and my FH has 6 men, and we aren't even having them walk down the aisle. They will be in front but its a super short ceremony and I mainly just want to hang out and take pictures. You can do whatever you want bc its your day.
