Under things that won't break the bank

Heather, on June 11, 2018 at 11:58 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
Does anyone know where I can get a bustier and full slip that doesn't cost $60-$70 and above? The dress and shoes I'm fine with splurging on, but I cannot bring myself to spend that kind of money on something no one else will see.

I can't make any recommendations but you could maybe try places like Kohls - where you can use a coupon?

IMO I felt it was worth spending the money on quality undergarments because I knew they would help keep the structure underneath my dress intact. The last thing I wanted was for my spanx to be off brand, begin to roll and show through, same with my bra/bustier. I wanted it to be good quality so it wouldn't start to slip or sag or compromise the line underneath my dress and cause it to look weird

Just to say I know the feeling, but kind of they WILL see it if you don't get one of quality. You don't want seams showing or your dress bunching in weird places. It will be part of your look, though a very subtle one. The idea is that it looks like it's not there at all, but if it's noticeable it will be VERY obvious and not in a good way!

I would try amazon or ebay for something cheap. or if you or someone in your family is really good at sewing!

David's bridal has a sale on now and their sips. I was there on yesterday to purchase on. It was regular price $59 but I got it for $20. You can also look online as they have the same slips online on sale. Good luck.

Have you tried Penney's for a bustier? I just ordered 4 to try on - one was $60, another was $50, and the other 2 were $44.

I was going to go to the mall today and check the department stores. I'm in no rush as I'm still 5 months out, but I'd like to get all my accessories soon.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions 😊
