Tasteful way...

Dee, on April 1, 2016 at 5:24 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 26

No, this is not a joke. Is there a tasteful none childish way to incorporate Hello Kitty into my wedding. I love Hello Kitty.

Maybe the color scheme or your jewelry?

Can you have the pink in the bow as one of your colors? Maybe you could subtly use the bow in decor

I like the idea of using the bow in the décor. That way it still is Hello Kitty without looking like a child's birthday party.

Yes, I was thinking more of a subtle touch. I like the ribbon idea, that could work.

You could have a Hello Kitty charm on your garter belt. I saw one on Pinterest I really liked. Smiley smile Even a cake topper might be cute, but definitely keep it subtle in its execution!

Do a bow on a chair sash, cake topper, garters, shoes, and signature drink.... I think thats as far as most people would take it.

Love what your topper plan is! You can do anything with a garter belt really. Nobody else sees the one with the charm except your groom, so there's nothing to clash with the rest of the wedding and nothing to judge!

Macy's has this Nao by Lladro cake topper :p

ETA: I didn't mean necessarily for on top of the cake since that's been sorted, but could still go on the dessert table or something :p

Also, I have a slight obsession with Hello Kitty flying an airplane because I'm an Asian female and I'm a pilot. Because...it's a cat (or is it? Anyone else remember that controversy?) flying an airplane!

Thank you. It is very sentimental to me and the FH. That is adorable @Mrs.T-to-be. And I assume a charm I could put on a bracelet or necklace after.

You could add the charm to your bouquet, too. Or have a side accessory with Hello Kitty, like your card box, or maybe guest book. It would be small, quirky, but not full blown tacky.

I would definitely go with the bows. You could also probably get away with working some more explicitly Hello Kitty details into things like the flower girl's accessories, ring bearer's pillow, or things for the kids at your wedding.

My sister has a Hello Kitty edition of Uno- maybe do something like that for your favors?
