Surprise from future in-laws, what could it be??

Private User, on October 19, 2012 at 12:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

So my FH's parents (or his father, rather, I guess) got me a surprise for the wedding. He has already bought my dress (and given us a Tiffany picture frame), but I have no idea what else he could have possibly gotten! All my FH would say is that it's something that is needed to complete the marriage, and that I have to try it on. He also gave me a hint about the price, which, not knowing what it is, may or may not be super expensive. I'm trying to figure out what it could be, and I'm thinking veil, shoes, or jewelry. I think the most plausible is jewelry because of the price and I'm thinking it's a wedding band, but I'm not entirely sure. What do you guys think??

We'll probably go to his mother's this weekend so I can finally see it, but I have no idea what to expect and it's driving me crazy!

I didn't even think about earrings. Duh. That should have been the first thing I thought of! But he said it's something that is necessary to complete the marriage, which is why I'm thinking it's a band... unless he's just trying to throw me off track, which is entirely possible!

@Future Mrs. D - Yeah, I'm almost positive it is. I would be grateful, but I kind of had it in mind that FH and I would go shopping for them together. But I won't complain because, ya know, free stuff is awesome.

@Megan A. - I will definitely post when I get it. And knowing his father, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what he bought! Seriously. Even though he didn't pay full price, the dress he bought me retails for almost $4,000. I am a very lucky girl Smiley smile

Wow crazy lucky. Mine was 599 Smiley smile lol. I'd be excited if someone would pay for that and that's only a portion of yours. Glad you're close to them it makes all the difference Smiley smile

@Michelle R. It really does make a difference, especially since my own mother has shown very little interest in anything having to do with the wedding. Ah well. I love my FMIL and FFIL. They have always treated me like family, and I'm happy it will be official in 275 days Smiley smile

@MJ That's a thought. They already got me a robe and nightgown from Victoria's Secret, so it definitely could be something else to that effect!

**UPDATE** So the surprise was a wedding band, as I suspected. Unfortunately, it was yellow gold (my engagement ring is white gold) and it was too big for me, so I couldn't accept it. I'm kind of glad because I always figured FH and I would go shopping for the bands together. But it was a lovely gesture on my FFIL's part, and I told him I greatly appreciated it Smiley smile
