Do you have a caterer? You can start shopping for the bridesmaid dresses and booking your MUA and hairstylist.

Definitely choose your colors as soon as possible. Its easier to make decisions once those are set in stone. All other tasks for the wedding, my motto is: If I can do it now, do it. Its never to early.

If you want to get the bridesmaids dress, tuxes and wedding bands now- do it!

Stick to the wedding planner month by month and it will literally tell you everything. Your bridesmaids dresses should be ordered really soon to assure proper arrival and ample time for alterations if need be. Don't be overwhelmed. Follow the planner and all will be okay. Smiley smile

I don't think it is ever too soon to do things.

I was going to recommend the wedding wire checklist. Take some time to go through and mark of what you have done, delete the things that don't apply to your wedding and then use it. It's worth the time to personalize the list to your wedding.

Definitely start looking for bridesmaid dresses.

Colors are super important because everything else works around them, your invites, decor, everything else tends to revolve around your colors.

Do you have a dress yet? That is a must start looking. A lot of dresses take 6 months to order

The more you can do now the better! I would definitely start on the bridesmaid dresses and start on your centerpieces.

    Hey Twin Date,

I have already order BM dresses and picked out Tux. I have mostly everything booked at this point I don't have me wedding band yet though Smiley sad U still have a good amount of time we are just under the 6 month mark, which is in my opinion the shortest amount of time you would need to plan a wedding with out over stressing.

I really dont think its too early for anything! I'm not getting married til February and I am literally almost done with everything. I just hate being a last minute person and don't want things rushed.

    - color schemes

    - guest list

    -save the dates

    - attire

    - catering

    - makeup/hair person

    - cake

    Hi, Almost Date-Twin! Smiley laugh

    I'm in the same boat.

I think the only things I have left to do are invites/flowers/cake

Plus, think about accessories and your hair/makeup trials, if you're going to have someone do that for you.

Hi date twin... I have pretty much everything dj, photographer, venue with full catering and cake, JOP, flowers I'm doing this month, I've gotten some of the girls gifts, my dress, girls dresses, wedding bands, honey moon 2/3 way booked. I ordered my invites we've done our tasting. We will be booking rehearsal dinner soon. It's never to early.

I'm trying to cross off and pay since I have other weddings, bridal showers bachelorette parties of friends to attend. Life it's getting expensive!

Date twin! Smiley smile I have practically everything done at this point, other than getting the flower girl dress, which it would be too early for...my girls got their dresses like November of last year or so, my colors were picked out over a year ago haha, the tuxes were picked out in December, the florist & cake artist was picked in around February, mothers dresses just recently came in and they're trying them on soon! Invites we're picked out last summer, honeymoon already booked...I don't think it's possible to be too early for anything! Haha. And during the lull I'm taking on the DIYs and making more decor choices...I had centerpieces picked out last summer but I'm still tweaking them & finishing them. You still have a lot of time, but get a lot of it out of the way so you're not rushing around last minute! Enjoy the last month of your engagement Smiley smile I have it set on my schedule to be completelyyyy done everything by Wednesday before the wedding...we're talking packing things, putting tips in envelopes, writing escort cards, everything...it should be more relaxing that way and you can sit back and revel in the fact that you'll be getting married in a few days! Smiley smile

Date twin! You're doing great! I would do colours next then invites and wedding party clothing. We're getting our bands in July. Our next step (we have all the clothing done!) is invitations then favours Smiley smile

Date twin - that sounds like the perfect order to go in, colors before anything else is definitely a must! And I did my invitations before a lot of other stuff, too...I feel like whatever you pick as invitations kindof encompasses the entire theme of the wedding! It helps you get a clearer vision of what you want, therefore making future choices easier Smiley smile

You definitely need to start figuring out your bridesmaid dresses. I put mine off until March (Wedding is in July) thinking that each of the girls would be able to find their own style and shade with no problem. We had to put a rush on 3 of them because they weren't scheduled to be in until July which would have left almost no time for alterations. Same with your dress. Mine ended up taking about 5 months to get in.
