Well he's 73 im 48 & He's been married 2 times before & me 3. We been together 6 yrs, everyone knows we want to be married. So should announce that it ?

My family don't like him for one thing & not sure if they would even come. To me that's stressful.

I see nothing wrong with announcing it. Doesn't matter how many times you've been married or how old you are. It only matters that you're happy. However, you're not supposed to host or plan your own engagement party...
