Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!

Mrs.L, on July 27, 2013 at 6:38 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 33

So, I need shoes still. Still don't have an idea of what I want, but I'm sure I'll find something this coming month.

Did you ladies just run into the perfect shoes for your big day or did you shop around for months? Did you have to pre-order them? If anyone is wearing a non-traditional color gown, what color shoes will you be wearing?

Can you please post pictures. I would love to see all the different styles (maybe I can get an idea of what I want).TIA!

The shoes were my first wedding purchase. Got them a few weeks after getting engaged. They were about only $20 online so I figured I wouldn't really lose much if they ended up being bad quality/uncomfortable. But they turned out perfect! Teal was one of our wedding colours at the time and now it's navy but I don't care Smiley smile

I'm wearing a coral gown (it's actually a bridesmaid gown but soooo pretty) and either gold or nude shoes. Haven't found the perfect ones yet!

@Sarah- Ohhh those are cute!!! $20! Can't go wrong with that price! Nice deal Smiley smile

@Erica- I can picture that, sounds super cute too! My dress is a light pink (ice pink) and I'm thinking of something silver and sparkly.

@Jennifer- I'm also thinking of wearing flats for my reception. My feet tend to swell fast wearing any tight shoes. So, I may just wear heels for the ceremony and that's a maybe!

I just found these. L.K. Bennett are the shoes that Duchess Catherine wears. And these are on sale. And low-heeled, which is what I want.

    @Erica- Cute and look comfy!

@Grisssss- Lol. I would love to wear my sock slippers! But, I think my BMs would kill me. It's a long dress, does anyone really see or even pay attention to your shoes? Lol.

I knew I wanted a t-strap with about a 4" heal. I wanted them to be in ivory and have kind of a vintage look. Low and behold, I found these gems. Rachel Simpson "Carmen" shoe. They're like 250 bucks but look at them! lol.

@Felicia - HaHa. I posted them in the order of which one I fancied the most. All three are pretty comfy but I LOVE all the sparkle of the first pair. Smiley smile

Here are mine! I was actually shopping with one of my BMs for her shoes when I came across these- I put them on and my BM started crying going THOSE ARE YOUR SHOES!!!

So then I started crying... omg it's a pair of shoes...

I found them at Macy's haha.

I never ever go shoe shopping (most of my shoes cost $20 or less... these cost about $40)... I still can't believe I cried over shoes...

These shoes are all beautiful and fun! Remember when it comes time to hem your dress it needs to be done to fit the height of the heel you are wearing. Unfortunately, if you plan to wear heels for the ceremony and switch to flats later, you dress may be too long in the front and you can end up stepping on it as you walk and dance. Just bring whatever shoes you plan to wear, even if two different pairs, to your fitting. Maybe there can even be a compromise that will work with more than one heel height.

(Used to manage a bridal shop and even with video later, have seen this happen.)

They haven't came in yet so I don't know, lol. I read endless reviews and all the brides has said yes, they were comfy. All of her shoes were super cute! They have that Gatsby style, art deco look to them.

@Forever my love- I loveeeee Jimmy Choo.. I found a couple that I love! But... I really doubt I can buy them. FH just started working again. He would probably kill me. Lol. But, I was planning on purchasing a pair before all that mess happened. Soooo I am super jealous! Smiley smile

@Nicole- Awwee. Super cute Smiley smile I hate shopping for shoes too. I went boot and bootie crazy last winter. I got in trouble so I blame the shoes. Lol.

@Mrsaj2b- I love sparkle too! My shoes are going to be sparkly thats all I know about them Smiley smile

@ASc2- thank you for the advice. My Bm and I were talking about HER shoes yesterday and she told me she doesn't have to hem her dress if she wears 3in heels ALL day and night. Lol. The things us girls do to save money and still look nice Smiley smile

What color are your BMs wearing? Mine are wearing red and I decided to go with red shoes. Plus I just wanted red shoes lol. I know I'll be wearing them again! And no one will really see them under my dress so it will just be a touch of red.

I was shopping around just to kill time, and found these super cool heels at a store that I loved, and I sighed, because I can't wear heels due to my feet, and said "I really wish they made these in flats!" because they were perfect. When I got home, I checked online at the stores website. And...buh buh buh...THEY HAD THEM!!!!
