Shoes and Clutches, oh my!

Meesh, on September 12, 2018 at 1:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

So I bought a cute formal clutch to keep with me on the day of (I'll probably just sit it on the chair at the sweetheart table until we are seated) just so I have a place for my lipstick, perfume, tissues, etc in case I need a refresh. My mom doesn't think I need one. Are any of you ladies using any kind of bag during the reception?

As for shoes, I'm wearing cute rhinestone sandals, but I am debating on changing into ballet flats during the dancing/reception. Anybody changing shoes? Let me hear more about your accessory essentials!!

I'm still on the hunt for a pretty clutch. We are going out on the Vegas strip after the reception so I want to be able to hold money and lip gloss and my phone

I don’t think you need one but do what you want!! I have pockets but I don’t even think I’ll use them. Maybe just some tissue or lipstick if I think I need it.

Hi Meesh!! I think a little clutch with some emergency supplies is a great idea! I'm one of those just in case people, though, so that's my two cents. And I am totally pro-shoe change!!! I'm always dancey at weddings and I wouldn't want my toes to get stepped on!! Smiley smile

Tell us more about this clutch!! What color is it?

I am wearing flats for my wedding since I have knee issues and my FH and I are similar in height. I did buy flip flops for all of my bridal party and both moms that I'm DIYing to look a bit fancier.

I have a small silk and lace bag that his grandmother made from her wedding dress for his side of the family that she gave me to use.

I am definitely a "just in case person" as well! The clutch is a ruffled, silky clutch in a light blush that matches my dress with a silver chain. It has a clasp closure and there's just enough room inside for my phone and a few small essentials Smiley smile

I currently have 4 inch heels for the wedding but definitely switching for the after party lol!!!

I haven't decided on a clutch. We will be in Vegas but I could also just put my ID and card in FH wallet....

I'm getting married at a former bed and breakfast so we're staying there the night off, so I'm leaving those things in the bridal suite/ our room. If I was getting married somewhere else I'd either have my mom or sister hold those items or I'd get a small clutch.

I purchased my bridal clutch on Etsy and kept my mints, lip gloss, phone, etc. in it. I'm a purse/clutch person though so I like having that stuff with me.

I most likely will use someone else's bag, or leave things in my room. I want a pair of sparkly flip flops to wear after the ceremony, but I'm not sure it's justified

Still deciding on whether or not I need a clutch or not, I just haven't found any I like or want to spend money on since I most likely won't use it again. My 12 year old daughter though is one of my BM's and she bought a cute little silver one and honestly I may just sneak my phone into that since she is sitting with us at our table, I have pockets in my dress for my lipstick. I am also bringing a small bag with some essentials like deodorant and perfume and most definitely a change of shoes. I am wearing 2 inch heels (a big deal for me since I NEVER wear heels) and I DIY'd some glitter sneakers to change into so I can dance!

I won't get a clutch since I hate carrying a purse on a normal basis and our hotel room is just down the hall from our venue incase I need a touch up.

I am wearing very high pretty heels for the ceremony but changing into sparkly converse when I bustle my dress
