Second Round Invites and no bridal party. opinions needed please

Mrs. McCheese, on August 26, 2010 at 10:28 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

I know I haven't posted much lately but I need some opinions/ advice. My MOH is gone. (Remember this is the one I never asked she just assumed). Anyway things got ugly and I no longer have anyone standing with me on my side. I'm actually ok with that. I would, however, like to have a friend or two there for me sitting with my family (as that's all we invited to meet the requirements set forth by the parents). Well now we have some spots available (as in we invited 44 and so far we only have 19 coming and 6 outstanding RSVPS total paid for is 35). Would it be bad if I invited some of my friends from college even though I haven't seen them since our 5 year reunion in 08? How about even though we've already mailed out all the invites and this would require a second round? Any advice would be much appreciated. My mom doesn't want me to invite anyone else but I feel like maybe I might be missing out by not having some of them there or at least extend an invite to a few of them.

I think sending out more invites is a good idea. Even if you havn't seen them in 2 years they might still want to come and see you on your happy day. If you have the room for more, why not invite more?

I guess this is what they would call the "B" list...I have a B and C list and if people from my A list cant come I am sure as hell inviting someone else! I HAVE to pay for 100 guests regardless if I have less than that there...so you can bet your bottom dollar that if I am paying for 100 people to eat, I am going to have 100 people there! lol
