Seating charts, how are you displaying them? SHOW ME YOUR PICS please

Private User, on June 11, 2014 at 2:17 AM Posted in Planning 0 31

I'm having assigned tables at our wedding. Did anyone use a website to organize the seating chart? If so, which one? I'm still trying to come up with an idea of how to display the name/place cards. Any ideas?

I used the tool right here on WW to organize the seating arrangements. It's really great!

Those are pretty. Are your table names French?

Abby, I just looked at the WW seating chart tool and I love it! I didn't even know there was one here! Thank you!

I used the seating chart tool here as well. I can't find a photo of my seating chart on my work computer, but it's in a frame like this - albeit a couple of tables have to be reprinted. We'll use it for wedding photos afterwards.

I like the frame idea too. Did you hang it or just have it on the table?

The venue has an A frame easel we can stand it on.

We're assigning tables so we're using escort cards that will be displayed on frame hung with lace. No photo on my work computer.

Ignore the fact that it's off center. The guy printing it effed up.

I designed it in Illustrator and had it printed and mounted to foam core at Kinkos (in hindsight I probably should have just plotted it myself at work but whatever). I had two copies--one for each entrance to the reception.

@FutureMrsHicks To get the best print quality I would design the document at the size you want it printed at--a typical size would be 24" x 36". Sometimes when you blow up an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper in a large document, the result can be kind of pixelated.

I never thought about making something and having it printed. It's a great idea! Thanks for the details as to how to make it!

Thanks Brady, I did it as an 11x17 but I will increase it.

I'd planned on doing the picture frame collage so that it can be used in our home afterwards, but I am seriously loving the example FutureMrsHicks posted.

I wanted to name our tables as types of French wine (Bordeaux, Cotes du Rhones, Burgundy, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, etc) , but DH was very against it because there's 'no order to it'. He felt like people would find their table easier if they were in numerical order. *Eye Roll*

I let him have the numbers since 95% of the wedding decisions he didn't even care about so I had almost everything my way!

Glad I could lead you to table chart!
