Okay so my dad helped me pick out my dress before he passed away. I love it don't get me wrong. So first off when dress shopping I tried 8 dresses on and when I tried my satin dress on it felt heavy so I decided I wanted to try a similar one in tulle I loved that one too but I wanted to try the satin one on again and it seemed lighter. My concern is our wedding is in July which can be super hot in Nebraska worrying about getting overheated. Another thing is will my dress feel lighter again after wearing it for hours?

I'm getting another dress for the reception so i can be cooler. My wedding is also in July and i know I'll be hot and don't want to pass out or ruin it with sweat.

I know when I get to recpetion it's indoors so I'm sure it will be a little cooler. Sadly don't really have money in my budget for a reception dress

I'm getting another ball gown but lighter material and it's only $115. I ordered it online and hoping for a good result. You don't need to have anything real fancy though for your reception. Check Macy's and kohl's. You can get good deals sometimes on prom dresses after season and sometimes even during season if you can find a good coupon. I just bought my daughter's prom dresses at "deb" for 80% off since they're going out of business. Check your area. Good luck to you

I wore one and it was fine. You should just make sure you have a lot of water around and if you can take off the slip when you get to the reception do that. During pics outside I picked a shaded park and when I wasn't getting pics I stood under the shade or sat in the trolley that was AC.

I was in lace and I was on FIRE.. but it was Florida... So I suppose I chose that.
