RSVP mistake and it's MY fault!!! Need Your Advice....

Lexi, on March 28, 2015 at 9:25 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

HI Ladies,

This isn't a major big deal, but need a little advice. My wedding is September 18, and I ordered and received my invitations yesterday. I ordered early because they offered a 30% discount for the month of February.

So, the RSVP says respond before July 18 (10 weeks before my event). Plus instead of writing Braised Short Rib, I put Short Rib. Is that too early? I meant to put August 8. Should I reorder, and pay the high cost for new ones? Or is July 18 just fine? Thanks in advance Smiley smile

I think it's fine, I wouldn't bother re-ordering anything. I just received an invite in the mail this week for a wedding at the end of August that we need to RSVP for before mid-May. No one will really mind too much, I'm sure.

I think it's fine. For the sake of a 3 week difference, I don't think it's worth the money to re-order.

Short Rib is fine as well Smiley smile

Dont worry about it, most people ignore the rsvp date and you will have to chase them anyway lol

I don't think anyone will care. Don't waste the money on new ones. From what I see on here, most people don't look at the dates, anyways! Lol. I always open an RSVP and send it back the next day so even I don't look at the date.

I think it is fine plus you've now given yourself some cushion time to hunt down those people who didn't sent back their rsvp.

I wouldn't reorder, but if people don't respond by the Jul 18th date, I'd wait until Aug 8 or so to begin tracking them down. Some people simply can't know their schedule that early and won't be able to accurately respond so early, so just give them some slack!

That's fine. If your guests don't respond by August 8th, then you can start calling them and you have more than a month to get a final count.

It's fine! If anything, it'll force guests to plan a little further in advance, which is a good thing.

I wouldn't being ordering anything else. Just send them. More than likely you will still have to chase a few people down. Maybe don't start chasing people down until the 1st week of August?
